Clinical Support - Podiatry

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly engaged Clinical Support Assistant to provide direct support to a busy Podiatrist in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment. This individual will be expected to take initiative, maintain clinical excellence, and proactively manage day-to-day responsibilities to ensure seamless clinic operations. A successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, uphold the highest standards of professionalism, and consistently ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety regulations, and documentation requirements. This role is critical to maintaining efficiency, supporting the physician, and delivering an exceptional experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare exam rooms and assist with podiatric procedures (e.g., toenail removals, wound care, injections)
  • Record vital signs and patient histories with accuracy and discretion
  • Assist with patient education, pre- and post-procedure instructions, and follow-up care guidance
  • Schedule surgeries
  • Maintain infection control standards and proper handling of instruments
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Manage patient flow and coordinate with front office to maintain timely scheduling
  • Stock and maintain clinical supplies and equipment in treatment areas
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Support in-office diagnostic tests, dressing changes, and casting as needed
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Candidates with prior clinical experience in a physician office, urgent care, or outpatient setting; credentialed Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with podiatric care, wound care, or orthopedics is a plus
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer literacy
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure as well as maintaining an infectious positive attitude is a must!

Work Environment:

This is a hands-on, patient-facing position in a busy orthopedic specialty clinic. Expect variety, hustle, and plenty of foot-related puns.
