Accountant/CPA

We're now searching for a sharp, motivated Accountant or CPA who shares our love of precision, integrity, and teamwork.
Position Summary:
The Accountant/CPA will help ensure the financial backbone of our practice is as strong as the ones we treat! This role will primarily focus on accounting functions including maintenance of financial records, preparing reports, managing reconciliations, and supporting the organization’s financial operations with a keen eye for detail. The Accountant/CPA will play a pivotal role in month end close processes and assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger and perform regular account reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GAAP standards
- Partner with operational leaders to monitor department spending
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Help support payroll processing and benefits accounting
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and findings to senior management
Qualifications:
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and develop financial models
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bonus Points
- CPA License (preferred, not required)
- Healthcare or medical group experience
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under various legal umbrellas
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems
- Ability to explain financials to non-accountants
